Biography
A graduate of DePauw University and a certified financial planner, Mark Gadson has over 25 years experience in financial services, management, fundraising and gift planning for colleges and other not-for-profits. His distinct blend of major gift solicitation, gift planning, and annual fundraising experience, combined with his success in managing profitable financial services businesses, make him a strong addition to our staff.
Before joining Washington College, Mark was Senior Managing Director of the Advisor Network for SEI Investments in Oaks, PA delivering SEI investment strategies and business solutions to independent financial advisors, most of whom helped clients realize philanthropic objectives through their estate and financial plans. Prior to his service at SEI, he was Senior Business Development Officer/Senior Trust Officer for Phoenix Charter Oak Trust Company, where he managed investments and administered deferred giving programs for charitable institutions which included The Hotchkiss School, Kingswood-Oxford School, Fairfield Foundation, and many others. Before Phoenix Charter Oak, he provided fundraising program management and consulting to clients throughout the northeast. He began his career in advancement as Director of Planned and Major Gifts at DePauw University and Director of Gift Planning at Union College.
